Christmas was a major hit

Christmas was a blast to have these cute kiddos with us!  I'm so glad Jen, Mitch and the boys could come for a visit over break.

Sweet ole Santa brought me a laptop!  I was soo stoked and am using it to its fullest (Including right now for this post).  Anyways, I'm SO happy to have it as my own and know that it'll be extremely convenient within the next year or so..:)

Couple months down the road....

Where do I start?!..

Time is FLYING by. 

This year I go to EVIT in the morning from 8:05-10:35.

I'm doing their CNA program to become a "certified nursing assistant".

In January we start clinicals at nursing homes and get a little taste of the dirty work as a CNA.  Oh joy!!:) People call me crazy but it is a great stepping stone to become a nurse.

I am really enjoying the class and know that even if I change my major, it was well worth my time.  I am learning a TON about the medical field and it has increased my interest to become a nurse.  I have also met some amazing people.  Our class has become incredibly close despite our differences.  I sometimes am trapped in my "bubble of friends" and don't realize the many different people out there.  EVIT has also made me realize how very blessed I am to have the gospel in my life.  I have had to stand up multiple times for my standards and beliefs.  My "Mormon Mesa Schooling" has allowed me to just go with the flow because everyone has such similar backgrounds and beliefs. EVIT's definitely taught me more than nursing.

Story time!

     Once upon a time, my beautiful niece Brynlee was sent from heaven. You're probably thinking this is a random transition, but it's really not. On September 13, 2008 I got to see this miracle happen. At the hospital, I had an overwhelming feeling that I was meant to become a nurse. I had NEVER even considered this career and it was a shocker to both myself and my family. I will never forget that feeling. I hope you caught on to the purpose of that story.. and why it came after my CNA training. Brynlee Bear is an angel in our family and we love her soo so much!

No need to tell me how ridiculous I am for already counting down the days until graduation...... I know I should be having the time of my life; living it up my senior year.. and I am having a blast so far..but I can not tell you how ready I am to move on with my life!  I don't have any definite plans yet and I LOVE the feeling of not knowing what will come next.

I used to be set on the plan that I'd get a scholarship and head off to this amazing castle.

Let's get real though. (And leave Australia for study abroad in my future)

My ideal plan for college, at the moment, would be to head off to BYU Hawaii next summer.  I'd like to get started on the prerequisites for nursing school.
